Bus to Zona 1, Santo Domingo.  The annual "Mes del Rosario" has a new art exhibition, a tour of the towers and a Pan American cafe with drinks just for the Antigua Curry Club.  Then dinner at the new "Pattaya" Thai restaurant in La Noria.  The bus will then drop you off at your house.

Santo Domingo offers an hour-long walking tour on the cloister, a short 3D documentary about the monastery, a walk over the rooftops and into the bell towers.  Don't worry, this is not like climbing up to the top of Notre Dame, these towers are short.  It is 30 small steps to the exhibition and another 30 to the rooftop.  I will package the bus and the tour in one price, Q150 per person.  Their organized tours are at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.  Since we already have almost 20 people, I have booked a private tour, just for us, in English at 4 p.m.!  More time to explore the exhibition and have a drink in the Cloister. If you don't want the whole tour, you can join us for the ground floor beginning of it, the 3D video and the exhibition and not go further to the towers ... but they are very small towers!

After the tour, say 5:30 p.m., the Pan American Cafe will be offering drinks ... they have soft drinks, beer and, just for us, they will have white and red wine at Q25 a glass.  Below are more photos of the exhibition and also of the cafe.  About 6:15 p.m. the bus will pick us up at the front and we'll go to Pattaya in La Noria.  Margie and Julio recently dicosvered this new restaurant and Lorraine and I tried it this week.  Good.  I will add a menu to this page soon.  Please sign up now.

Those going so far:  Tomas & Lorraine, Maria S, Karen W, Linda & Frank, Linda Ch, M & M, Leslie, Norma, Hilda & Sarah, Sylvia, Dianne & George, John & MaryAnn, Jim & Denise McDonald (my Airbnb.com guests) ... your name here.  Margie, Julio and Milo (firend of Julio) & grandson will meet us at the restaurant.
